On February 25, the Chinese Table Tennis Association announced the review results for national table tennis events and referee training applications. According to the announcement, the Table Tennis Qualification Tournament (Adult Division) for the 15th National Games will be held in Ningbo from March 20 to 26, organized by the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Operation Management Co., Ltd. The Youth Division competition will take place at the Huangshi Training Base of the Chinese Table Tennis Team in Hubei Province.

The table tennis event at the 15th National Games will feature five categories: men’s team, men’s singles, women’s team, women’s singles, and mixed doubles. According to the current competition rules, athletes must confirm their division (youth or adult) at the qualification stage. In the qualification tournament, the top 24 players in men’s and women’s singles and the top 24 pairs in mixed doubles will qualify for the finals in their respective events. The top 4 teams from the 2024 Chinese National Table Tennis Championships and the top 12 teams from the qualification tournament in men’s and women’s team events will qualify for the finals in the team competition.

This year, Ningbo will stage top-tier international events, including the 2025 ISSF World Cup, Badminton Asian Championships, WTA Ningbo Open, and FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League Finals. Simultaneously, the city is actively preparing for the 2026 World Weightlifting Championships.

The hosting of this tournament in Ningbo will elevate the city’s attractiveness and empower its development, comprehensively raising Ningbo’s influence and competitiveness.
