Lv Lin was born in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province in 1969.

He has won gold medals for many times in table tennis doubles and singles at the Table Tennis Championships, the National Games, and other competitions. In 1991, he was awarded the title of “Master of Sports of the International Class”. He was titled as one of the “Top 10 Chinese Athletes of the Year” in 1992. He was awarded the National Titles of Honor in Sports for four times.
