Huang Zhihong was born in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province in 1965.

She has won medals at the National Track and Field Championships, the Asian Games, and the National Games for many times. In 1986, he was awarded the title of “Master of Sports of the International Class”. In 1989 and 1991, he was titled as one of the “Top 10 Chinese Athletes of the Year”.
