Lou Yun was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Provincein 1964.

Lou Yun is reputed as the “King of Vaulting Horse”in world gymnastics for his repeated clinch of gold medals in the World Gymnastics Championships, the Asian Games, and other competitions. In 1982, he was titled as “the Master of Sports”.

Achievements at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games:

Gold medal in men’s vault;

Silver medal in gymnastics men’s team;

Silver medal in men’s free exercises.
