Male badminton player Huang Zhanzhong was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1968. He was selected to Zhejiang provincial badminton team in 1979 and the national team in 1988.

He won the men’s team title at the 1989 Asian Badminton Championships.

In 1990, he won the championship in badminton men’s team at the Beijing Asian Games.
