Xia Xuanze was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1978.

He won championships in men’s singles at the Grand Prix, International Badminton Federation Super League, China Open Badminton Championships, the Asian Championships, the World Championships and other competitions. In 2000, he was awarded the title of “Master of Sports of the International Class”.
