Mascots for the Athens Olympic Games

The mascots are two dolls named Athena and Phevos designed based on the ancient Greek terracotta doll “daidala”. They have big feet, long necks, and small heads, one in dark yellow and the other in dark blue. They are very lovely with golden heads and feet. According to Greek mythology, Athena and Phevos are brother and sister. Athena is the goddess of wisdom. The Greek capital Athens took its name from her. Phevos is the god of light and music.
