Huang Yaqiong (first from the right) was born in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province in February 1994.

In 2016, she won the gold medal in badminton women’s doubles at the German Grand Prix. She won championships in mixed doubles at the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2017, at the World Badminton Championships and the Asian Games in 2018. In 2019, she won championships in mixed doubles at the World Badminton Championships, the Sudirman Cup, and the All England Open badminton Championships. In 2020, she won championships in mixed doubles at the Perodua Malaysia Masters, the Badminton Indonesia Masters, and the National Badminton Championships.

On July 30, 2021, Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong as a pair won the silver medal in mixed doubles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
