Huang Huidan, born in 1996, comes from Fangchenggang, Guangxi. In 2003, she was selected to Taizhou Luqiao Youth Sports School.

She won the team championship at the China-Russia Youth Gymnastics Competition in 2009, the first runner-up in gymnastics women’s team at the 11th Asian Youth Tournament in 2010, the gold medals in gymnastics women’s team, individual all-around, uneven bars and floor exercise at the Nanchang National Intercity Games in 2011, and the gold medal in women’s uneven bars and the silver medal in women’s all-around at the National Gymnastics Championships in 2012. In 2013, Huang Huidan won the championship in women’s uneven bars at the 2013 Antwerp World Gymnastics Championships, and the silver medal in gymnastics women’s team and the bronze medal in women’s uneven bars at the 12th National Games held in Liaoning.
