Ye Shiwen, born in 1996, comes from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. She is also the first Chinese swimmer to win two gold medals at the same Olympic Games.

After the 12th National Games in 2013, Ye Shiwen has won gold medals in all major competitions at home and abroad, including the National Games, Asian Games, Swimming World Cup, Long Course World Championships, Short Course World Championships and Olympic Games, becoming China’s first golden slam in swimming. At the 2012 London Olympic Games, she won the gold medals in women’s 200m individual medley with a time of 2:07.57 which broke the Olympic record and in women’s 400m individual Medley with a time of 4:28.43 that broke the world record.

Gold medal in women’s 400m individual medley;

Gold medal in women’s 200m individual medley;

Gold medal in women’s 4×100m freestyle relay.
