Female gymnast Yang Bo was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in 1973. She was selected to Zhejiang provincial gymnastics team in 1983 and the national team in 1986.

In 1990, she won the championship in women’s balance beam at the Eighth Artistic Gymnastics World Cup.

In 1990, she won the gold medal in women’s gymnastics team and the third place in women’s balance beam at the Beijing Asian Games.
