Wu Xiaoxuan, a female shooter from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, was born in 1958. She was selected to Zhejiang provincial shooting team in 1974 and made her way to the national shooting team in 1981.

Wu has earned recognition in various competitions, including the National Games, Asian Games, ISSF World Cup, and ISSF World Shooting Championships. In 1980, she was honored as one of the China’s Top Ten Athletes and the most outstanding athletes over the 35 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. She was also awarded the National Medal of Honor in Sports.

At the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, she clinched the championships in both the women’s air rifle team and individual events.
