Shao Hong, a female swimmer from Jinhua, Zhejiang, was born in December 1962. She was selected to Jinhua swimming team in 1972, Zhejiang provincial swimming team in 1976, and the national swimming team in 1977.

At the National Spring Swimming Competition held in 1978, she won the women’s 100m breaststroke championship. At the 1981 FISU World University Games, she earned the silver medal in the women’s 100m breaststroke.

At the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, she secured the silver medal in the women’s 4×100m medley relay and finished third in the women’s 100m breaststroke.
