Ye Peisu, a female track and field athlete from Ningbo, Zhejiang, was born in 1958. She was selected to Zhejiang provincial track and field team from the provincial sports school in 1974. At the Eighth Asian Games in Bangkok in 1978, she won the championship in the women’s pentathlon. She continued her success by winning the women’s heptathlon at the 1980 World Invitational Track + Field Meet and at the Asian Athletics Championships in 1981.

At the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, she secured the championship in the women’s heptathlon.
