Female track and field athlete Shen Shengfei was born in 1981 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. She entered Ningbo Sports School in 1993, Zhejiang Provincial Sports School in 1994 and Zhejiang provincial track and field team in 1996.

She won the runner-up in women’s heptathlon at the Eighth National Games in 1997, and the championships in women’s heptathlon at the 13th Asian Games in 1998 and the Ninth National Games in 2001.

In 2002, she was the champion in women’s heptathlon at the 14th Asian Games held in Busan.
