Female volleyball player Zhou Suhong was born in April 1979 in Changxing County, Huzhou City. She entered Changxing County Youth Sports School in 1990 and Zhejiang provincial women’s volleyball team in 1994. Starting from 1996, she entered the national youth team and then the national beach volleyball team, before becoming a member of the national volleyball team in 1998.

In 1999, she won the third place at the World Grand Prix Finals, and the championship at the Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship. In 2001, she won the runner-up at the World Grand Prix Finals and the championship at the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup.

In 2002, she won the championship in women’s volleyball at the 14th Asian Games held in Busan.
