Wu Yue was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1997.

In 2017, she won the bronze medal in women’s 50m butterfly at the National Swimming Championships.

Achievements at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games:

Gold medal in women’s 4×200m freestyle relay (preliminary);

Silver medal in women’s 4×100m freestyle relay.
