Sun Yang was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province in December 1991.

He is the world record holder in men’s 1500m freestyle and the Olympic record holder in men’s 400m freestyle. Sun Yang won championships many times at the National Games, the Asian Games, the World Championships, the Short Course Swimming Championships, the Olympic Games, and many other competitions at home and abroad. Sun Yang is the only Grand Slam champion in the world swimming history who has won championships in men’s 200m, 400m, and 1500m freestyle both at the Olympic Games and the World Championships. He is also the only one who has won the championship in men’s 800m freestyle at three successive championships, and he clinched more gold medals in men’s freestyle than anyone in the world.

Gold medals in men’s 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle;
