Wang Shun was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in February 1994.

In 2011, he won four gold medals at the 7th National City Games. In 2011, he won the gold medal in men’s 400m individual medley at the National Swimming Championships, breaking Asian and national records. In 2013, he won gold medals in men’s 200-meter individual medley at the National Swimming Championships with a time that broke Asian and national records, and at the Liaoning National Games with a time that broke the national record. In 2016, he won the bronze medal in men’s 200m individual medley at the Rio Olympic Games. In 2018, he won the gold medal in men’s 400m individual medley at the National Swimming Championship.

Gold medal in men’s 200m individual medley;

Silver medal in men’s 4×200m freestyle relay;

Bronze medal in men’s 400m individual medley.
