Chen Hao was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in 1999.

He won the third place at the World Youth Sailing Championships, the sixth place at the National Games, and the second place at the World Youth Sailing Championships successively. He won two championships in a row at the 2016 and 2017 National Youth Windsurfing Championships before he became a member of the national team in the second half of 2017. In 2018, he won the gold medal in windsurfing men’s RS: ONE category at the 17th Asian Sailing Championships.
