Wang Yilv was born in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province in November 1994.

In 2017, he won the gold medal in badminton men’s doubles at the 13th National Games. In 2017, he won the silver medal in mixed doubles at the Korean Open-BWF World Tour. In 2018, he won the gold medal in mixed doubles at the Badminton Asia Championships.
