The 13th Asian Games was held from December 6, 1998 to December 20, 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Chinese delegation won 129 gold medals, 77 silver medals and 68 bronze medals, ranking top in terms of gold medal count and total points.

A total of 21 athletes and coaches from Zhejiang Province took part in this Games, winning 20 gold medals, 8.5 silver medals, 3 bronze medals and the fifth place once.
