Female track and field athlete Shen Shengfei was born in 1981 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. She entered Ningbo Sports School in 1993 and was selected to Zhejiang provincial athletics team in 1996.

She won the silver medal in athletics women’s heptathlon at the Eighth National Games in 1997.

She won the first place in athletics women’s heptathlon at the 1998 Asian Games held in Bangkok.
