Male volleyball player Zheng Liang was born in 1970 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was selected to Zhejiang provincial men’s volleyball team from Zhejiang Provincial Sports School in 1985 and became a member of the national men’s volleyball team in 1992.

He won the runner-up in men’s volleyball at the Hiroshima 1994 Asian Games and the championship at the Ninth Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship in 1997.

He won the championship in men’s volleyball at the 1998 Asian Games held in Bangkok.
