Male shooting athlete Zhu Qinan was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province on November 15, 1984. He was selected to the Zhejiang provincial shooting team in 2002 and entered the national shooting team in December of the same year.

In August 2004, he won the gold medal in men’s 10m air rifle at the 28th Athens Olympic Games. In 2005, he won the gold medals in men’s 10m air rifle at the ISSF World Cup in Italy and the US.

He was the championship in men’s 10m air rifle 60 shots team event and the runner-up in men’s 10m air rifle 60 shots individual at the Doha Asian Games in 2006.
