Male wrestler Sheng Jiang was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on March 25, 1983. He entered Hangzhou Chenjinglun Sports School in 1995, the provincial wrestling team in 1999, and Shanghai Sports Institute from 2000 to 2002.

He claimed the titles in Greco-Roman and 62kg at the National Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in 2003 and 2004, respectively. He took the 13th place in the Greco-Roman 55kg at the Athens Olympic Games. In 2006, he won the second place at the Asian Wrestling Championships, and the championship in 60kg at the National Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships.

He won the second place in men’s Greco-Roman 60kg at the Doha Asian Games in 2016.
