Male Taekwondo athlete Wang Hao was born in Songyang, Zhejiang Province on July 13, 1980. In 1998, he entered the provincial Taekwondo team.

He was the champion at the National Taekwondo Championships in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2006, and the runner-up at the National Taekwondo Championships in 2000. The next year, he took the championship at the Korea Open Taekwondo Championships and the third place in Taekwondo at the East Asian Games. He retained the title at the National Taekwondo Championships in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.

He won the runner-up in Taekwondo men’s 72kg event at the Doha Asian Games in 2006.
