Female artistic gymnast Liang Yuting was born in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 1989. She was selected to Liuzhou Amateur Sports School in 1997 and the provincial artistic gymnastics team the next year. In 2003, she was selected to the national artistic gymnastics team.

In July 2005, she claimed the titles in rope exercises and exercises with ribbons of the adult group, and was the runner-up in the individual all-around at the National Artistic Gymnastics Championships. In 2006, she won the third place in women’s team and exercises with ribbons at the Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

At the Doha Asian Games in 2006, she won the third place in women’s artistic gymnastics team.
