Male Weiqi player Liu Xing was born on December 10, 1984 in Tianjin. He entered Hangzhou Qi-Yuan in 2009.

He won the championship in the youth group at the 15th World Youth Weiqi Championships in 1998, the runner-ups at the 3rd Ricoh Cup in 2003 and the 4th Ricoh Cup in 2004, the championship at China Merchants Bank Cup Fast Game in 2005, and championships at the Eighth and Ninth Agon-Kiriyama Cup Fast-go Tournaments in 2006 and 2007 respectively. He won championships in two consecutive sessions of the Japan-China Agon-Kiriyama Match. Besides, he entered the Final Four at the 2008 Fujitsu Cup and Ing Cup, and led the Hangzhou team to win the championship at the China Weiqi League A Match in 2009.

He won the runner-up in men’s Weiqi team at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
