Female jumper Li Ling was born on July 6, 1989 in Puyang, Henan Province. She entered Ningbo sports training team in 2003.
In June 2007, she won the gold medal in women’s pole vault at the National Athletics Grand Prix (Suzhou), and the silver medal in women’s pole vault at the Sixth National Intercity Games. In February 2008, she won the first place in women’s pole vault at the National Indoor Athletics Championships (Beijing), and in April, she won the gold medal with a score of 4.45 meters (reaching the Olympic A Standard) at the National Athletics Grand Prix (Hangzhou).
In 2010, she won the runner-up in women’s pole vault at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
