Female runner Ye Jiabei was born on January 20, 1993 in Beilun, Ningbo. She entered Beilun Youth Sports School in 2003 and was selected to the Zhejiang provincial athletics team in 2007.

In April 2010, she won the first place in women’s 4×100m relay and the third place in women’s 100m at the National Athletics Grand Prix (Suzhou). In May that year, she won the first place in women’s 4×100m relay and the first place in women’s 100m at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships & the First Youth Olympic Trials.

She won the runner-up in women’s 4×100m relay at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
