Female canoe&kayak athlete Wu Yongfang was born on February 23, 1987 in Tonglu County, Hangzhou. She joined Hangzhou Aquatic Sports Center in 1998, and was selected to Zhejiang provincial canoeing team in February 2002, and the national women’s dragon boat training team in 2009.

In 2002, she won championships in women’s Group B kayak single 500m, 1000m, and 3000m at the 12th Games of Zhejiang Province.

In 2010, she won three gold medals in dragon boat women’s 1000m, 500m, and 250m straight races at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
