Female gymnast Jiang Yuyuan was born on November 1, 1991 in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Starting from 1999, he entered Wenzhou Sports School and then Zhejiang provincial gymnastics team, before joining the national gymnastics team in 2002.

In 2007, she won championships in uneven bars and floor exercise at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Shanghai. In 2008, she won the championship in floor exercise and the runner-up in uneven bars at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha. In August that year, she won the championship with her teammates in women’s team of gymnastics at the Beijing Summer Olympic Games. In October 2010, she won the third place in women’s team of gymnastics and the runner-up in women’s individual all-around at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

In 2010, she won the championship in women’s team of artistic gymnastics at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
