Male rower Zhu Ziqiang was born in 1990 in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. He started to train as a professional rower after being introduced to Ningbo rowing team in 2003. He joined Zhejiang provincial rowing team in 2005.

At the 11th National Games held in Shandong Province in 2009, he won the championship in rowing men’s eight with coxswain and the third place in rowing men’s coxless four.

He won the championship in rowing men’s eight with coxswain at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
