Female boxer Dong Cheng was born on August 14, 1986 in Tianmen, Hubei Province. She joined Ningbo women’s boxing team in 2006.

In 2009, she won the championship in women’s 60kg at the Third National Women’s National Boxing Championships, the fifth place in women’s 60kg at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Turkiye, the championship in women’s 60kg at the Women’s National Boxing Championships in April 2010, and the runner-up in women’s 60kg at the Sixth Women’s World Boxing Championships. She also won the championship in women’s 60kg at the Third East Asian Indoor Games and the bronze medal in women’s 60kg at the Fifth Women’s Asian Boxing Championships.

In 2010, she won the championship in boxing women’s light (57-60kg category) at the Guangzhou Asian Games.
