Female volleyball player Zhou Suhong was born in Changxing County, Huzhou City in April 1979. She entered Changxing County Youth Sports School in 1990 and Zhejiang provincial women’s volleyball team in 1994. Starting from 1996, she was admitted to the national youth team and then the national beach volleyball team, before becoming a member of the national women’s volleyball team in 1998.
She won the championship in women’s volleyball at the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup in 2001 and the Busan Asian Games in 2002. She won championships in women’s volleyball at the World Grand Prix and the World Cup in 2003, gold medals at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 and the Doha Asian Games in 2006, and the third place at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
She won the championship in women’s volleyball at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
