Male swimmer Lv Zhiwu was born on March 18, 1989 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. He joined Zhejiang provincial swimming team in January, 2002 and the national swimming team in 2006.

In 2007, he won the championship in men’s 100m freestyle and the runner-up in men’s 50m freestyle at the National Intercity Games. In 2008, he won the third place in men’s 50m freestyle and the championship in men’s 4×100m freestyle relay at the National Swimming Championships. In 2009, he won the third place in men’s 100m freestyle at the East Asian Games held in Hong Kong.

He won championships in men’s 50m and 4×100m freestyle, and the runner-up in men’s 100m freestyle at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
