Female rower Ding Yanjie was born in February 1989 in Cixi, Ningbo. She was selected to Zhejiang provincial rowing team in 2006 and the national rowing team in 2009.

She won the bronze medal in rowing women’s pair at the 11th National Games in 2009 and the second place at the World Rowing Cup in 2010.

She won the championship in rowing women’s four at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
